The Giving Machine

 

The Giving Machine is a service that allow us to generate money for Les Crocodiles.

What is the GIVING MACHINE?

TheGivingMachine is a charity that raises money for charities through online shopping. There are more than 2000 shops to choose from, including John Lewis, eBay and Sainsbury’s.

It works like this:

  1. You buy something from an online shop via TheGivingMachine.

  2. Your purchase automatically generates a sales commission.

  3. TheGivingMachine turns the commission you’ve generated into a charitable donation and passes it on to Les Crocodiles.

set up THE GIVING MACHINE on YOUR Web Browser

  1. Visit our unique charity URL at https://shopandgive.thegivingmachine.co.uk/giver/join/?pbid=267408
    You will see the Les Crocodiles logo and a registration form to complete.

  2. Next you need to install the Shop & Give reminder which automatically informs you which websites will donate a proportion of your spending to Les Crocodiles.

  • First click the “Get Shop&Give” button that appears on the page after you complete registration:

  • Next click the "Install Shop&Give Reminder" button. As you can see it works on all the major web browsers:

  • The installation steps will look different depending on the web browser you're using. For Chrome, you will need to click "Add to Chrome":

How does it work in practice?

When you search for any product or service in Google, you'll see which websites generate a donation to Les Crocodiles:

When you visit a Les Crocodiles friendly website, you'll see a Giving Machine message appear on the website. Click this and any transaction you make will generate a donation for Les Crocodiles:
